Expectations for Success in Mobile AL
The Airbus Engineering Center of Mobile AL is in operation and the community is benefiting
Earlier this year, Mobile
Alabama opened The Airbus Engineering Center at the Brookley Field Industrial
Complex. This airbus plant has generated
jobs for aerospace engineers in the local Mobile community as they went to work
on the A350 XWB (a commercial jet with a widebody). Average pay for jobs at the center is
estimated at $75,000, and although there are just over 30 employees now, they
plan to expand to 150 in the next two years.
The Airbus Kansas facility,
opened in 2002, has had great success in doubling its size and tripling its
workforce in just the first two years in operation. The Mobile Alabama community is expecting similar
success for their Airbus center in the few years to come.
