Economic Growth in Mobile County AL

bond passed to give $195 million towards the new steel mill

On Tuesday, June 5, voters approved incentive bond to lure
employers to Alabama. One such employer
is the German Steel company ThyssenKrupp AG, who already announced their plans
for the construction of a steel mill last month. ThyssenKrupp AG plans to build a 3.7 billion
dollar steel mill in Mobile county Alabama, offering the Alabama economy a
chance for growth.  The approval of this
bond will give the Mobile County Steel mill $195 million. The steel mill is expected to open up more
than two thousand permanent jobs and thousands more during the construction of
the mill.
