Developer of Grande Pointe Apartments in Daphne AL Rethinks plans for Development on the Property

The Daphne City Council has deemed the originial plans of building more apartments to the complex as not in public interest, will discuss other plans on Sept. 19th

The developer of the Grande Pointe apartments in Daphne Alabama was
looking for a Monday Daphne City Council vote in favor of changing the zoning
laws for the area to make way for their plans to add 120 units to the
complex. However, this Monday night vote
did not occur because it had already been removed from the Daphne City Council
agenda because it was settled that the plan obviously did not agree with what
the public expected for the property.

The issue is planned to come up in a September 19th work
session between the Daphne City Council and the developer of the Grande Pointe
Apartments; other ideas for the property may include building single family
homes
, which seems to be more favored by the public.
