drop in the unemployment rate at the same time. In a recent study cited in the Associated Press, Alabama’s state unemployment
rate has seen a slight decrease; the state’s unemployment rate ranked at 3.7
percent, which is lower than the national rate of 4.7 percent. In an analysis of individual counties, Baldwin
County AL ranked at just 2.8 percent for September, compared to other counties
which ranked as high as 8.1 and 8.9 percent.
