Mobile’s cruise port was named Port of the Year by Carnival
Cruise Lines due to exceptional customer feedback. Carnival has 11 year-round home ports, but
Mobile’s port topped them all in overall customer satisfaction for great ‘southern’
service.

One of Carnival’s oldest and smallest cruise ships—the Holiday—is
one contributing factor to this top national customer service award. The Holiday has been a popular selection for
Alabama’s Gulf Coast since 2004 when it first began giving cruises at Mobile
port. It is hoped that this Port of the
Year award and the past popularity of The Holiday will assist the port in
gaining a bigger cruise ship to support the demand of the future.
