With the building loan closer to being paid off, the new Library will continue to be a vital staple in Fairhope AL

Fairhope’s new public Library opened for use on January 22,
2007, but the hefty loan from the project is another story. Baldwin County Now reported that another
payment was made on the loan at a recent Library board meeting, making the
bridge loan amount approximately $1,302, 431. 

With economic impact in mind, Fairhope Public Library has been
beneficial to the city. Not only does it
keep downtown ‘alive’ as reported by Mayor Tim Kant, but it is ‘vital’ to
Fairhope’s future. As a place for
children to gather for study and education and a valuable community center,
Fairhope Public Library will continue to play a significant economic and social
role for the city.
