Newly Renovated Building in Foley AL houses Publishing Company

Gulf Publishing CO. moves into Foley AL

Foley Alabama’s old Presbyterian Church building that has
been empty for 8 years is once again part of the community, but not as a
church. The church building located at
West Violet Avenue and North Alston Street is now a place for the “Phonebook”
team to operate. Phil Colquette of Gulf
Publishing Co
. has seen the small company he founded in 1995 evolve; this
relatively small publishing company produces telephone directories, which
Colquette describes as “history books.”

Having a building for the company to work all under one roof
is a big step for this little company. They won the “Oscar of the Yellow Pages Industry” (i.e. the Gold APPY
award) in 1997 and have continued to strive ever since. And with the use of the newly renovated Foley
building, they will only add to the community around them.
