Bill To Help With Hurricane Repair in the Gulf Coast
Alabama, Mississippi and Texas may benefit from a bill that would offer funds to rebuild and repair from hurricane disasters
For all
of the Gulf Coast residents affected by past hurricanes such as Katrina and
Rita, there may be some good news in the form of a bill. U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., is hoping
to get the ball rolling for a housing bill stuck in congressional committee for
approximately eight months which would offer hurricane affected areas
rebuilding money. Under the bill,
Alabama, Mississippi and Texas could tap into federal funds for programs to
rebuild and repair, as well as develop affordable housing, from hurricane
related disasters.
