GreenCoast 2008 in Mobile AL to Help Builders and Homeowners Save Energy and Money
The conference will be held in April with the hopes of persuading builders and homeowners to be more energy efficient
Alabama’s Governor Bob Riley awarded a grant to
promote the GreenCoast 2008 conference for this April. The conference will encourage builders and
homeowners on the Gulf Coast to ‘go green,’ by saving energy and helping the
environment in their building decisions.
The non-profit group known as Smart Coast will produce
promotional materials for the GreenCoast Conference which will be held on April
9th and 10th at the Arthur Outlaw Convention Center in
Mobile; the awarded grant funds will go to the production of materials needed
to advertise for the conference, including a website. The conference will focus on design and
construction techniques to make new buildings more energy efficient and thus
keep down on costs for residents and businesses involved while reducing their
impact on the natural environment around them.
