One newcomer's experience relocating to Daphne

I recently had the opportunity to assist a family in finding a home in Daphne. They relocated from El Paso, Texas for a job in Mobile, and knew nothing of the area. After researching on-line and peppering me with questions about various communities in the Mobile area, they decided on Daphne. "With two young kids, the school district is the primary factor in where we buy a home," according to Marsi Gramzay. "Daphne offers not only the beautiful country environment we prefer, but also the top rated school district. With Steve’s commute to Mobile under 25 minutes, it was an easy choice to buy in Daphne."

Since moving in a month ago, the Gramzays have found the locals to be friendly and welcoming. Without any family or friends in the area (yet!), Marsi has discovered the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce to be a valuable source of information. "I found everything from ‘Fun Things to To’ and ‘Attractions’, to the library and animal shelters on this site. I recommend the Chamber’s site (www.eschamber.com) as well as the City of Daphne’s site (www.daphneal.com) for lots of helpful information. Now I know what we can do for fun after the unpacking is over!"
