Did you know that the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley area was ranked the No. 1 "micropolitan" area in the nation, according to new U.S. Census data? The study looked at all micropolitan areas in the country for the number of people gained since 2000. The Daphne-Fairhope-Foley area in South Alabama and surrounding communities in Baldwin County added 31,350 residents since 2000. (Birmingham Business Journal).

(Wikipedia) And what does it mean to you? This growth bodes well for the economy of Fairhope. The unemployment rate in Fairhope, AL, is 2.20%, with job growth of 4.14%. Future job growth over the next ten years is predicted to be 36.15%. Home values have a median price of $359,000 and are gaining in value. (www.bestplaces.net) Sounds good to me……
