Fairhope Alabama’s 3rd Annual Festival of Flight May 17th

With Northrop Grumman’s Mobile Alabama location seeing KC45 Tankers in their future, the aviation industry in Alabama will draw a crowd this year

The 3rd Annual Fairhope Festival of Flight will be on May 17th at H.L. “Sonny” Callahan Airport. This year the festival will feature one of the youngest aerobatic pilots in the world, Alex “Gabby” Land of Atlanta; at just 18 he will be competing in the World Championships for the U.S. National Team in his expertise—advanced and unlimited aerobatic categories.

The festival will fall on Armed Forces day and this tradition will likely continue as way of honoring those in service. Having the Festival of Flight in Baldwin County Alabama also allows the county to showcase their suppliers, offer jobs, and bring in companies. The recent win by Northrop Grumman/EADS of the US Airforce contract for KC45 Tankers in Mobile Alabama has peaked more interest and growth in the aviation industry and thus this annual festival is expected to draw a larger crowd than previous years.
