The Mobile Realtor Association has good news: April was a great month for real estate activity in Mobile County. 388 homes sold, for an 11.5% increase in activity over the month of March. Better yet, the average sales price of $162,412 represents a 10.5% increase over the prior month. Days on the market was 82, which is lower than many other areas.

According the the Mobile Press-Register, house prices are up more than 6.7% over the past yar in Mobile County, making the city among the nation’s top 10 metro areas in terms of price appreciation. This data was gathered by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight in Washington, D.C.
