Mobile Alabama’s own WKRG “Mobile Makeover” news coverage was recently awarded the Murrow award which recognizes excellence in journalism using electronic sources. This Edward R. Murrow award was given by the Radio-Television News Directors Association and involved competitors on a national scale, making WKRG’s receiving of it truly an honor. 

WKRG’s “Mobile Makeover” segment allows website frequenters to view the latest news in Mobile Alabama as it continues to grow and flourish. The economic and industrial developments integrated into the segment include the Steel mill being built in north Mobile County, the Air Force tanker contract, and the growth of Mobile due, in part, to an increase of available jobs.
