Fairhope Alabama Keeping up with Environmentally Friendly Trend
The Fairhope Environmental Advisory Board (FEAB) will be presenting their proposal that the city should adopt an environmental mission statement at today’s City Council meeting. Though Fairhope Alabama has been moving forward with ‘green’ practices, FEAB feels that they should still incorporate an environmental statement as part of their overall scheme. The FEAB generally function to help the city in eco-friendly services by offering advice and direction and reviewing development and infrastructure projects for consistently ‘green’ choices.
Projects that are proposed or already supported by Fairhope include the volunteer Environmental Advisory Board, a recycling program, an annual coast clean-up, hazardous waste receptacles at public works facilities, and a permeable concrete sidewalk project.
