Fairhope Alabama’s Strategic Plan Moving Forward
Fairhope Alabama’s City Council recently voted to accept the Strategic Planning Process Committee ‘s first recommendation by forming a strategic planning steering committee. The committee will be comprised of nine members total; seven of these will be ‘citizen’ members with one appointed as the chairman and the other two members will be the mayor and a member of the city council.
The Strategic Planning Process Committee with Chuck Zunk as the chairman has met multiple times since their appointment on April 14 to discuss how to move the project forward resulting in the recommendation of this ‘citizen’ committee. Mr. Zunk reported to the Baldwin County now that because Fairhope Alabama has a lot of people with valuable skills that are willing to give of their time and efforts, the strategic planning will not cost the city as much as it would if these people were not available.
